Laptop erythema ab igne

Not only does this have a cool name, but it’s also kind of interesting. The youngest case of laptop erythema ab igne was just reported, in a 12 year old boy. What is this awesome sounding disease, you ask? Basically a weird rash that you can get when the skin of your thigh is exposed to the high temperatures of a laptop for prolonged periods of time, I write, as I sit here typing on my laptop.

You can avoid it pretty easily be taking frequent breaks and trying not to have the hot laptop directly in contact with your lap.
